New Kid In Chrysalis - And Northern Youth Program Benefit

Yesterday afternoon - this is New Kid straightening out and getting ready to go into the chrysalis mode.
His skin has split, and is being squeezed to the top, and the chrysalis is showing at the bottom.
Some of the pictures are not so clear, partly because all except one of them chose to attatch to the top of the jar, and the pictures have to be taken through the jar, and partly because there was a lot of movement.

He is still squirmming here. I think the last three might all be boys. We shall see as they eclose!!!
New Kid in the hardened chrysalis.

Last evening we went to a Benefit meal for Northern Youth Progams at Bittinger Mennonite. They had very good food - grilled chicken, hambergers, and hot dogs, all the fixings, plus salads of all kinds!!! Here our niece, Wilma, is checking the chicken.

Little Esther ( a great-great niece) was wandering around - taking in the sights. I can hardly believe she is already walking!
