Spring plants

Spring plants are showing their "faces", or leaves everywhere ! This is a picture of the Trailing Arbutus at the edge of our woods (today). I remember them as blooming around Mother's Day, and since they seemed special to Mama, I would often take her a bunch with roots for a Mother's Day gift. I think they must have bloomed earlier this Spring, because I had walked to the edge of the yard last week, and there were some flowers on the plants then. They are not the prettiest plants or flowers I have ever seen, or the greenest leaves either (with brown and dried leaves among the rest), but somehow every year they grab my attention, and hold me spellbound!!! So much for my thoughts on the Trailing Arbutus !!!
