She's Baaaaaack!

My Mama just came home from the hospital late tonight. She is currently sitting in the recliner talking on the phone with Lois. Apparently, she proved to the doctor that she really could handle solid foods. He had stopped in to see her over lunch time and told her that she is doing well enough, and if she could eat a tray of solids without trouble, she could go home tonight. She managed her grilled cheese sandwich, tomato slice, milk, jello, and grape juice just fine. That tray came up at 3 pm. They also sent mash potatoes, corn, milk, and juice at the regular dinner time. By then, she was getting too full to eat!
Mama is not aware of what her amylase levels were from today's blood work. She is however ordered to set an appointment for follow up testing. She is to go back on her regular meds and insulin with a low fat diet for a while. Hopefully she will be able to mend her pancreas and her gland faster in the comfort of her own home, and without the sticks and pricks from IV's and blood tests!

Mama would also like me to post some photos of the flowers she got in hospital. Everyone's thoughts, prayers, cards, and flowers were greatly appreciated!
