We are beginning to see some signs of late summer. We have been hearing the "Katey-Dids" for several weeks now, and the Indian Smoke Pipes have turned brown and shriveled up.
I don't know if the Hummers are filling their tummies getting ready to head South for the Fall in a few weeks, or what - but there is one little guy that thinks he is "King Of The Hook", and protects his nectar by chasing all the other hummers away from the bottles of the sweet stuff! Sometimes he hovers right outside the window and checks us out if we are in the Living Room.
