Evan spent one day here last week, while Phebe was busy with doing the Home School "trade and sell" day for items for Home Schoolers. Here he is the "thirsty cowboy"!
Over last weekend some of Urbane's family came up for the Maust gathering. Saturday evening Amanda (who is pregnant, by the way) and Dayne played Chutes and Ladders with Emma and Rachel. They attended the reunion at Glen and Rachel's pavilion the next day (Sunday).
The day of the reunion, Harold and Eva Jean took us out to Morgantown, and we got Markel settled in at Ruby, to be taken off coumadin, and put on heparin, ready to have a cardiac cath done. That was done on Tuesday. We learned that he will need to go to Cleveland for an aortic valve replacement, and aortic aneurysm repair, but the date has not yet been set.
After he was admitted, Harold and Markel played two games of checkers, and Harold won both games.
OOPS! I got this at the wrong place, but it takes too long for me to figure out how to change these two pictures around, so I will just let it be! Thank you Danny for bringing us this cute little guy, and Darla for choosing this and a gift certificate to Katie's ! We appreciate it a lot!
Evan could not figure out why Pa is in bed at this place when he came out to the hospital with Phebe and me on Wednesday. We brought Markel home with us that night (on Lovenox shots)
On Friday evening we were up at the MCC Silent Auction. Ken, Emma, Rachel and Evan went on a surry ride that evening. (The chocolate Cake brought $80.00 this year.)It takes so long to upload with dial-up, that I don't always get it done anymore. Sorry I didn't do it earlier, Lola!
