A 50th Anniversary

Today was the 50 Wedding Anniversary of Oren and Fannie. I didn't even find out who baked the cake for the occasion, but it was beautiful!
The vegetables were served from a basket, and looked so appatizingly delicious!
The other basket held the pretzels.
Guess what the milk strainer had in it ??? The "plastic ware"!!! What a cute idea for a retired farm couple !!!
This table was done up nicely, and had a place to put the cards that were brought for the occasion.
I didn't get pictures of everyone there, but Creed and Miriam were there, among others.
Here are Joy, Kevin's wife, (Kim), Alta and Raymond.
Scott and Niki, Kevin and Kathy.
Here Oren and Fannie are chatting with Naomi and Denver.
Chester and Janet talking with Oren and Fannie.
Brian, Kelly and Jordan looking at the presentation of the family pictures some of them had put together.
Bob and Alice arriving for the afternoon.
Doug and Julia in the front. Jonas, Denver and Ruth (S,) in the background.
On our way home, this buggy turned off into a side road, and after I had downloaded the picture, I saw there was another one on ahead of that one. It was a beautiful day today, with blue sky, and quite warm for this time of year.

Thank you for posting the pictures, Miriam! We weren't able to be there, so it was nice to see them!

hi. i just wanted to introduce you to a little idea i had. henry has really wanted to go snowboarding and he really likes wisp, so i thought maybe he and i could come up a day or two before the official "maust family christmas" commences (if we're having one...WHICH WE BETTER BE!!! babies are no excuse...). but i just thought that if we did that, he and i could go snowboarding for a day and still be there for christmas, etc. i just wanted to see if it was ok with you before i actually started planning on it, though, so just let me know what you think :-)
